"Towards an Integrative Model of Social Change"

PECI´s Isabel Vinent Grimany facilitated the mini-workshop "Toward an Integrative Model of Social Change" in Black Mountain, North Carolina for the Hispanics in Philantropy Grantee Convening. This workshop develops the idea that to increase social change impact, organizations can combine services provision, advocacy/lobby and systemic change in a more balanced approach. 

Around 60 people representing more than 30 organizations serving the Latino communities in that region of the country participated from more than 20 cities and towns all over North Carolina.

Using the forming groups tool “The lifeboats” Isabel broke out the group (groups of 5!)

Group discussion 2: How does privilege affect the work we do with our community? (Understanding privilege, "isms" and how to move forward into structural change)
